SUMMARY:New Idaho FEMA Maps Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Do you know about the recent adoption of the updated FEMA Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs) for Teton County\, Idaho?\n\nThis is a significant update. The previous FEMA flood maps had not been updated since the late 1980s\, and this revision has been more than 15 years in the making. The new maps utilize high-resolution LiDAR topographic mapping and advanced flood modeling\, providing a much more accurate representation of flood hazards throughout the county.\nWhile the overall 100-year floodplain has decreased in many areas\, there are also locations where the floodplain has expanded or where flood hazard areas have been newly identified. Because lenders rely on these maps to determine flood insurance requirements and local jurisdictions may use them when evaluating development and building eligibility\, this is important information for our members to understand.
